A "graphic" summary of my philosophy of teaching music.

God made the world...![]() ...full of all sorts of different people. |
|
But we all come from Him...
...made of the same basic stuff.
People are "works in progress"... ...always learning and growing. |
|
| Everyone has his or her own unique abilities: some have to work very hard... ![]() | |
...while others learn quickly.

Still, each person is equally valuable.
Every soul has immeasurable worth& God loves them all!
My ministry is to approach every student with the same love of music...
...hoping to impart the JOY that I have found,
no matter what their skill level may be.
Everyone who practices can learn to play piano...

I am happy to teach music
to people of all ages and origins.
Some teachers are strict,
as if their students are going to become concert artists!
Not to toot my own horn, but...
I believe I'm especially good with kids because I enjoy being a part of their discovery of music.
And here's where the discovery happens!

| This in no way means I'm not serious about teaching. I stress all the essential fundamentals of music performance and theory, and have reasonable expectations of all my students, regardless of age. I simply believe playing piano should be enjoyable, and that includes time spent in lessons! |
