The Eastman Theater in Rochester, NY
Eastman Theater

...where I spent many childhood hours listening to the greatest musicians of the 20th century. An autograph collector, I went backstage to meet Arthur Rubinstein, Vladimir Horowitz, Isaac Stern, Yehudi Menuhin, Andrés Segovia and E. Power Biggs, as well as composers Aaron Copland and Igor Stravinksy, and jazz/pop stars Benny Goodman and Harry Belafonte.

I also studied for a time in the Eastman Piano Preparatory Department, and played my first pipe organ (like the Dutch Flentrop shown here) in one of the Eastman School's practice rooms.
